Way to Go, MomMy two youngest sons were HOH due to multiple Otitus Media and were learning ASL by the time they were two and 8 months old. When we would go out to eat (even a fast food place) we would play signing spelling games and one of us had to translate the other four to order the food. Other patrons would always come up and compliment me for having such well-behaved children! Learning a second language is always a plus and I was truly gladden to read how you have started. I honestly believe ASL/SEE should be as worthy as French, Latin and Spanish in K-12 schools. We now prefer signing SEE because it is more first letter guided, especially as we no longer live near a deaf community.
