I have set up my allotments to include a deduction of $2000 from my pay. $1000 goes to my home bank, which I can't touch until I actually get stationed stateside again. The other $1000 goes to my local bank with half going to savings and the other half going to monthly expenses. No more drinking at the bars. No more custom tailored outifts and shoes. No more long weekends partying down Seoul. I spend a few hours a week reading, studying and researching financial wealth building. I scan the listings at www.realtor.com for bargains that I can afford and then I contact the listing agent for more information. I am leaving Korea and the Army prepared for success.
